Pochopiť bio-psycho-sociálne a spirituálne potreby pacienta s multiformným glioblastómom je pre sestru esenciálny aspekt poskytovania kvalitnej ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti, na ktorú sa kladie dôraz vzhľadom na krátku dobu prežívania pacienta. Diplomová práca sa venuje vybraným aspektom starostlivosti o pacienta s GBM a jej cieľom je identifikovať oblasti reálnych potrieb typických pre pacienta s GBM prostredníctvom kvalitatívneho výskumu. Použitá bola výskumná metóda pološtruktúrovaného rozhovoru prevzatého od dánskych autorov a validizovaného do českého jazyka. Na výskumnom šetrení participovalo sedem respondentov s diagnostikovaným GBM. Výsledky výskumného šetrenia poukazujú na potreby pacientov s GBM z oblasti fyzických príznakov a nežiaducich účinkov liečby, psychického prežívania, komunikácie so zdravotníckym personálom a informovanosti vo vzťahu k ochoreniu a podpory v oblastiach denného života. Výsledky výskumného šetrenia by mohli byť prínosné ako základný materiál k realizácii ďalších výskumov v oblasti potrieb pacientov s GBM a zároveň by sa mohli stať podkladom pre tvorbu adekvátneho hodnotiaceho nástroja pre evaluáciu individuálneho stavu pacienta s GBM a tým poskytnutie čo najkvalitnejšej ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti.Understanding the bio-psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient with glioblastoma multiforme is a crucial aspect for the nurse to provide quality nursing care that is emphasized due to the short survival time of the patient. The diploma thesis deals with the selected aspects of nursing care of a patient with GBM and its aim is to identify areas of typical real needs of patient with GBM through qualitative research. The research method of the semi-structured interview was taken from the Danish authors and validated into the Czech language within the diploma thesis. Seven respondents with diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme participated in the research. The results of the research show the needs of GBM patients in terms of physical symptoms and adverse effects of treatment, psychological experience of the disease, communication with healthcare professionals, and awareness of disease in the context of information and support in the areas of daily life. The results of the research could be beneficial as a basic material for conducting further research in the terms of needs of patients with glioblastoma multiforme and at the same time results could be the basis for creating an adequate assessment tool for assessing individual status of patient with GBM and thus providing the highest quality of nursing care.
