Jejím cílem je porovnat, jaké prostředky deminuce se ve vybraných dílech vysky-tují, v jakém množství jsou použity a jaké plní sémantické a pragmatické funkce. Velká po-zornost je proto věnována slovotvorbě, při níž jsou slova zdrobnělá rozdělena na tvary synte-tické a analytické, jejichž vzájemný poměr je ve zvoleném časovém období rovněž sledován.. -- Abstrakt: The dissertation deals with diminutives in German and Czech in fairy tales of the 19th century and the present. The main task of the thesis is to compare the formation and development of diminutives in both languages, to find out how often the diminutive morphemes are used and what semantic and pragmatic functions they fulfil. The diminutives collected are classified as the synthetic and the analytic forms. The research is also focused on the change of the relationship between these two classes from the 19th century to the present.
