Diplomová práce se zabývá slovními asociacemi z lingvistického hlediska. V teoretické části sleduje fenomény "asociace" a "asociační experiment" v jejich historickém vývoji a přibližuje nejdůležitější výsledky jejich zkoumání; především se se zaměřuje na dvě oblasti, v nichž je přínos asociačních experimentů nejpatrnější, a to na problematiku mentálního lexikonu a lexikálně sémantických vztahů. Praktická část se věnuje popisu vlastního asociačního experimentu, který zjišťoval slovní asociace v českém jazyce (mateřský jazyk) a v německém jazyce (cizí jazyk) na vybraném vzorku 10-12letých českých školáků, a analýze jeho výsledků.The present thesis deals with word associations from the linguistic point of view. The theoretical chapter focuses on the phenomena of "association" and "association experiment" in their historical development and discusses the most important results of their research; especially with regard to two areas in which the benefits of the association experiments are most visible, that is the issue of mental lexicon and lexical semantic relations. The empirical chapter represents the description of the proper association experiment that explored word associations in the Czech language (native language) and the German language (foreign language) on the selected sample of 10-12-year-old Czech schoolchildren, as well as the analysis of its results.
