Diplomová práce s názvem názvem Motiv ženy v díle Gisele Pineau, představitelky guadeloupské literatury se zabývá typologií ženských postav ve vybraných románech této frankofonní autorky. Cílem práce je nastínit rozdílné typy žen, které se dělí dle jejich funkce v rodině či dle jejich vztahu k ostaním ženám. Teoretická část se v první řadě zaměřuje na historický kontext Guadeloupe, kromě otroctví zkoumá také postavení žen v této karibské oblasti a také migraci obyvatel do Francie. Ve druhé řadě práce představuje literární kontext a objasňuje hlavní literární proudy, které ovlivnily tuto autorku, jako je hnutí Négritude, nebo vysvětluje termíny jako antillanité a créolité. Dále zasvětí čtenáře do frankofonní a franko-antilské literatury a především zaměřuje svoji pozornost na literaturu guadeloupskou. Praktická část pak následně naváže na část teoretickou představením autorky a jejích románů a zejména pak demonstruje rozdílnou typologii žen v těchto dílech.The thesis The Motive of Female in the Work of Gisele Pineau as the Representative of the Guadeloupean Literature deals with the typology of female characters in the chosen romans of this Francophone author. The aim is to outline the different types of women, that are divided into several categories according to their role in the family or according to the relationship to other women in the family. The theoretical part focuses on the historical context of Guadeloupe and deals with the issues of slavery, the position of women in the Caribbean area or the migration of the inhabitants to France. Then, it presents the literary context and clarifies the main literary movements that has influenced this female writer, namely the Négritude movement, and also explains the terms of antillanité and créolité. It introduces not only the Francophone and Franco-antillean literature, but also the Guadeloupean Literature. The practical part starts with the introduction of the author and her romans, and demonstrates the different typology of female characters in her works.
