Tato práce se zabývá izraelskou osadnickou politikou na okupovaných palestinských územích a to konkrétně mezi lety 2001-2006, tedy za vlády dvou navazujících vlád Ariela Šarona. Pojmem "osadnická politika" není v tomto případě myšleno pouhé zakládání, budování nebo rušení židovských osad na palestinském území. Za osadnickou politiku je v této prací považován jakýkoliv akt izraelské vlády, který má přímý či nepřímý vliv na osady a osadníky nebo se jich jakýmkoliv způsobem dotýká. Příkladem může být stavba tzv. bezpečnostní bariéry, výhradně osadnických silnic, poskytování ekonomických úlev a výhod rodinám žijícím v osadě apod. Vzhledem k tomu, že cílem této práce je analýza osadnické politiky vlád Ariela Šarona, hlavním objektem zájmu této práce samozřejme je unilaterální izraelské stažení se z pásma Gazy. Izraelského stažení se z pásma Gazy se týkají i dvě výzkumné otázky: 1) Jaké motivy vedly premiéra Ariela Šarona k rozhodnutí uskutečnit unilaterální stažení z pásma Gazy a jak je možné vysvětlit tak zásadní změnu jeho postojů vůči židovským osadám? 2) Může unilaterální izraelské stažení z pásma Gazy v budoucnu posloužit jako precedent pro další opuštění osad na okupovaných území Západního břehu?This thesis deals with Israeli settlement policy on occupied Palestinian territories in 2001-2006, during the two consecutive governments headed by Ariel Sharon. 'Settlement policy' in this case doesn't mean just estabilishing, builing up or dismantling settlments. In this thesis, any act or decision of Israeli government that has direct or inderect influence on Israeli settlers or that affects them in any way is regarded as 'settlement policy'. An example of that can be a construction of the separation barrier, settler-only roads, economic incentives and tax allowances for settler families and so on. Since the goal of this thesis is to analyse the settlement policy of Ariel Sharon's governments, the main focus of this thesis is the Israeli unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip. The two research questions are also concerned with the Disengagement: 1) What motives led the Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to make the decision about unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip and how can his sudden change of heart about Israeli settlements be explained? 2) Can the unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip create a precedent for similar disengagements from settlements in the West Bank?
