Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na roli všeobecné sestry a její intervence, kterými ovlivňuje životy nemocných s bipolární afektivní poruchou (dále BAP), jejich rodinu a blízké osoby. BAP je řazena k afektivním poruchám a bipolární je nazývaná proto, že se projevuje dvěma soubory příznaků: depresivními a manickými. Bakalářská práce sleduje, jak příznaky a charakter nemoci jako takové, tak prožívání jejích projevů pacienty a jejich blízkými a funkci všeobecné sestry v ošetřovatelské péči zaměřené na zmírnění příznaků. Práce je strukturována podle výše popsaných oblastí studia BAP. První kapitola vysvětluje, o jakou chorobu se jedná, pojednává o příznacích nemoci, prožívání nemoci samotným klientem a o tom, které věkové skupiny populace postihuje. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na blízké okolí nemocného, na soužití s klientem s BAP a dopady choroby na sociální oblast. Popisuje nutnost spoluúčasti rodiny a přátel na ošetřovatelském procesu. Třetí kapitola se zabývá účastí zdravotníka respektive všeobecné sestry na ošetřovatelském a léčebném procesu, předkládá účinné metody ke zmírnění projevů BAP. Jedná se o přehledovou práci, která monitoruje závěry výzkumné činnosti v problematice BAP, publikované zahraničními autory, převážně anglosaského respektive kontinentálního původu.Bachelor thesis is focused on the role of a nurse and her interventions, which affects the lives of patients with bipolar affective disorder (the BAP), their family, and beloved ones. The BAP is ranked for affective disorders. It is called bipolar because it shows two sets of symptoms: depressive and manic. Bachelor thesis examines the nature of the disease symptoms as itself, the patients? and their loved ones? experience of its manifestations and the function of nurses in the care specialized on the symptoms relieving. Work?s structure is based on above mentioned areas of the BAP studies. The first chapter explains the disease itself, discusses the symptoms of the disease, the client experiencing of illness, and which age groups of population it affects. The second chapter focuses on the patient?s near environment, the coexistence with the BAP client, and the impact of the disease in the social sphere. It describes the necessity of the family and friends participation on the nursing process. The third chapter deals with the participation of a medical staff member or nurse at nursing and treatment process, describes effective methods of relieving BAP. This is an overview work that monitors conclusions of research activities in the BAP issue, published by foreign authors of, mostly, Anglo-Saxon or continental origin.
