S nárůstem obézní populace u nás i ve světě narůstá také počet obézních těhotných. Cílem bylo formou přehledové práce zjistit, jaké obezita přináší komplikace pro těhotnou ženu, plod a průběh porodu, a blíže popsat nejčastější z nich. Dále se snaží zhodnotit význam prevence obezity na výsledek těhotenství.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with the issue of obesity in pregnancy and childbirth. With the obesity increasing in the population of our country and the world, the number of obese pregnant women is increasing as well. The aim is to provide an overview of complications which obesity brings to a pregnant woman, her fetus and delivery, and describe the most common of them in detail. Further, the thesis is trying to assess the importance of obesity prevention in relation to pregnancy outcome.
