(212 743). -- Ved. práce Gerlinda Šmausová. -- Abstrakt: Disertační práce se zabývá tématikou neformální sociální kontroly žen, a to skrze vzhled jako nástroj této kontroly. Teoreticky je práce opřena o jednotlivé přístupy k problematice sociální kontroly v rámci tří hlavních paradigmat (strukturně-funkcionálního, interpretativního a konfliktologického), dále o sociálně konstruktivistické pojetí genderu a v neposlední řadě o výzkumné práce zaměřující se na neformální sociální kontrolu žen a na vzhled a jeho roli. Cílem výzkumné části práce je lépe porozumět tomu, jak mladé ženy ve věku 20-35 let vnímají roli vzhledu ve svém životě, jak vnímají jeho důležitost/nedůležitost jako takovou a v jakých kontextech se tato problematika v jejich životech objevuje ? jinými slovy tedy lépe porozumět tomu, jaká je role vzhledu v procesu neformální sociální kontroly žen. Vzhledem k cíli práce, kterým je ?porozumění?, bylo pro kvalitativní výzkum zvoleno interpretativní paradigma. Rozhovory s respondentkami měly povahu hloubkových, nestrukturovaných interview.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with the subject of informal social control of women in connection with appearance as a tool of this control. This work is theoretically based on individual approaches associated with the issue of social control within the frame of three major paradigms (structurally-functional, interpretative, conflictual) followed by social constructivist approach to gender issues and last but not least, the research focused on the informal social control of women and the appearance and its role. The objective of this work is to understand better how young women aged 20 to 35 perceive the role of appearance in their lives, how they perceive its importance / unimportance as such, and in what contexts this problem occurs in their lives - in other words, to understand better the role of appearance in the process of informal social control of women. Given the objective of the work, which is primarily based on "understanding," the approach used for the purposes of the thesis within the frame of qualitative research was based on interpretative paradigm. The interviews with respondents had the character of in-depth, unstructured interviews.
