Cílem bakalářské diplomové práce je reflektovat provázanost mezi sociální a zdravotnickou sférou a pokusit se o legitimizaci sociální práce ve zdravotnictví, identifikaci nástinu role a kompetencí sociálního pracovníka ve zdravotnictví a jeho postavení v multidisciplinárním týmu, včetně legislativní úpravy sociální práce ve zdravotnictví v České republice. První kapitola vymezuje pojmy sociální práce, sociální pracovník a popisuje role, kompetence, činnosti a vzdělávání sociálního pracovníka. Druhá kapitola se zabývá vymezením správné definice sociálního pracovníka ve zdravotnictví a definuje působiště jeho práce. Také je zde legitimizována sociální práce ve zdravotnictví a identifikovány role, kompetence a činnosti sociálního pracovníka ve zdravotnictví. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na činnosti a vzdělání zdravotně sociálního pracovníka. Závěrečnou kapitolu tvoří případová studie, jejímž výstupem je popis a specifikace pracovního místa zdravotně sociálního pracovníka ve zdravotnickém zařízení.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to reflect on the interconnection between social and medical spheres and to attempt to legitimize the social work in public health, to identify the role and competences of a social worker in public health as well as his status in a multi-disciplinary team including the legislative norm of social work in public health in the Czech Republic. The first chapter deals with the terms of social work, social worker and describes the roles, competences, activities and the educational process of a social worker. The second chapter is dedicated to defining of a proper definition of a social worker in public health and also defines his place of work. I also tried to legitimize the social roles in public health and to identify the roles, competences and activities of a social worker in public health. The third chapter is focused on activities and the educational process of a social worker in terms of health. The last chapter is represented by a case study, the outcome of which is a description and specification of a working post of a social worker in terms of health in a medical facility.
