Přesto některé reklamy bývají doplněny i o nestereotypní (feministické) prvky. The aim of this work is to describe the portrait of woman in advertisement. On the basis of the social constructivism, the social construction of gender and the advertisment are expressed as a reflection of social reality. On one hand, the advertisment confirms gender stereotypes on, and on the other hand, the advertisment has adapted to the changes in society and it has reacted to them with Commodity Feminism, i.e. the transformation of feminist values to consumption goods. Chosen TV advertisements were subjected to qualitative content analysis on the basis of three theories. The first one was adopted from Erving Goffman (traditional advertisement). The second theory ? Commodity Feminism ? stems from Robert Goldman (?new? advertisment). The third theory ? Decoding Advertisement ? from Judith Williamson serves as a general basis for the analysis. The outcomes of the analasis show that the stereotypical view on women prevails in our society. Nevertheless, several advertisments also contained some unstereotyped (feminism) elements.
