předmětem této diplomové práce je pojednat o záležitostech dobového náhledu na těhotenství a těhotnou ženu v raně novověké společnosti. K tomuto účelu byl využit specifický druh pramene, a to tištěné příručky přímo se vztahující k této problematice, jež vycházely po celé období 16.-18. století. Jejich autory jsou duchovní a lékaři. Na základě komparace těchto dvou základních přístupů autorů, jež se od sebe přirozeně odlišují, se tato práce snažila podat ucelenou představu o náhledu na těhotenství a těhotnou ženu v daném období, s největším důrazem na to, jaké byly povinnosti a práva ženy v očekávání, a také na to, jak se k ní měla chovat její rodina a blízké okolí.The aim of this dissertation is to present the issue of pregnancy in the Early-Modern society. This dissertation is an attempt to reflect how this very important event in the life of both mothers and all her relatives could appear. I was engaged a unique primary source - instructional manuals dealing with matters of pregnancy and childbirth in the Early-Modern Age. Their authors followed two basic principles - the clerical of priesthood and the medical of physicians who lived between the 16th and the 18th century. Views of both the manuals were compared and confronted with other contemporary instructional literature as well as personal sources, such as correspondence, etc.
