Hlavní část výzkumné práce se zaměřuje na hypotézu statisticky významné souvislosti mezi některým z postojů ke smrti podle dotazníku Death attitudes profile-Revised ((DAP-R) a některou ze škál empatie podle dotazníku Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Další části zjišťují charakteristiky výzkumného souboru v kontextu empatie a postojů ke smrti. Empatií respondentů výzkumného souboru se zabývá práce také kvalitativně při analýze odpovědí na otevřenou otázku. Data byla získávána prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Výzkumný soubor tvoří 230 studentů všeobecného lékařství a začínajících lékařů. Data byla zpracovávána postupy vycházejícími z principů zakotvené teorie a statistickou analýzou. Využity byly operace jako deskriptivní statistika, korelace a regresní analýza. Výsledky ukazují zjištěnou lineární regresi mezi některými ze subškál dotazníků IRI a DAP-R. Průměrné hodnoty dosahované na subškálách jednotlivých dotazníků ukazují určité proměnlivé tendence jevů u výzkumného souboru. Kvalitativní práce s daty také ukazuje na témata jako postoje ke smrti, stres, či emoční oploštělost v kontextu empatie.. -- Abstrakt: The main topic of the thesis is the possible connection of attitudes towards death with empathy in a population of medical students and junior doctors. The aim of the research question is to know whether there is a statistically significant connection between one of the attitudes towards death according to the Death attitudes profile-Revised (DAP-R) and one of the empathy scales according to the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). The quantitative part of the theses explores the characteristics of the research group in the context of empathy and attitudes towards death. Operations such as descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis were used. The qualitative part of the theses presents analyzis of answers to an open question. The sample is presented by 230 medicine students and junior doctors. Data are acquired via questionnaire and they are processed by the principles of the grounded theory and statistical analysis. The research shows the detected linear regression between some of the subscales of the IRI and DAP-R. The average values achieved on the subscales of individual questionnaires show certain variable tendencies of phenomena in the research group. Qualitative work with the data also points to topics such as attitudes towards death, stress, or emotional flatness in the context of empathy.
