Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem kultu předků a urbanizace v pevninské Číně a na Taiwanu v současné době. Nejprve jsou v ní přiblíženy pojmy čínský kult předků a urbanizace, následně je uvedena analýza textovou formou provedených rozhovorů s respondenty z pevninské Číny a z Taiwanu, v níž je zkoumán vliv urbanizace na danou tradici. Výsledky práce naznačují, že pod vlivem urbanizace jsou zvyklosti potlačovány a zjednodušovány. Rovněž však poukazují na faktor přítomnosti rodiny.The subject of this thesis is the relation between ancestor worship and urbanization in contemporary mainland China and Taiwan. In the first part of the thesis, the terms Chinese ancestor worship and urbanization in mainland China and Taiwan are being described. The next part contains of the analysis of interviews in written form with respondents from mainland China and Taiwan, in which the influence of urbanization on the ancestor worship is being examined. The results of the research indicate that under the influence of urbanization the tradition of ancestor worship is being suppressed and simplified. The results also point out the factor of family presence, which can influence the observance of ancestor worship in urban areas.
