Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou psychologického románu Svědek od Václava Řezáče. Stručně je nastíněn život autora. Potom je podrobně popsán děj románu. Před vlastní analýzou postav je vložena kapitola věnující se postavě v termínech literární vědy. Velmi důkladně jsou poté analyzovány hlavní postavy, motivická struktura a v neposlední řadě je pozornost věnována také způsobu vyprávění. V závěru jsou shrnuty poznatky získané analýzou a román Svědek je konfrontován s dalšími dvěma psychlogickými romány od téhož autora.This dissertation concerns the analysis of the psychological novel The Whitness by Václav Řezáč. There is briefly mentioned some basic information about the writer. Then there is in detail described the plot of the novel. Before the analysis, there is embedded a chapter dealing with the character in the terms of literary science. In detail there are analyzed the main characters of the novel, the motive structure and also the manner of the narration. In the conclusion the findings of the analysis are summarized and the novel The Whitness is compared with the other two psychological novels written by the same author.
