Filmová adaptace románu Velký Gatsby [rukopis] / Nikola Pracná. -- 2015. -- 68 s. (107 826 znaků). -- Ved. práce Luboš Ptáček. -- Oponent Michal Sýkora. -- Abstrakt: Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu metodou komparace narativu společenského románu amerického spisovatele Francise Scotta Fitzgerlada Velký Gatsby a jeho dvou filmových zpracování (Velký Gatsby, režie Jack Clayton, 1974; Velký Gatsby, režie Baz Luhrmann, 2013). Hlavním cílem práce bylo zachytit narativní popř. významové posuny mezi filmy a literární předlohou, při čemž jsme se následně věnovali i vizuálním stylům prezentace příběhu danými režiséry. Práce je na základě metodologie George Bluestona rozdělena na dva hlavní okruhy komparativní analýzy, při níž využíváme rovněž definicí prvků (fabule, syžet a styl) pocházejících z narativní teorie Davida Bordwella. V prvních okruhu komparativní analýzy jsme zjistili, které části fabule a prvky syžetu románu jsou či nejsou použity v rámci dvou námi určených filmů. V druhém okruhu jsme se věnovali jednotlivým stylům daných režisérů, přičemž jsme se následně zaměřili na použité formální a stylistické prvky jim vlastní ve filmových zpracováních Velkého Gatsbyho. Zároveň jsme se snažili zhodnotit i míru autenticity filmových reálií v kontextu s reálnou historickou epochou, ve které se literární předloha odehrává. Posléze jsme díky celkové analytické části poznatky v závěru shrnuli.. -- Abstrakt: This bachelor´s thesis is focused on analyse of social novel by American author Francis Scott Fitzgerald in comparison with its two film adaptations (The Great Gatsby, directed by Jack Clayton, 1974; The Great Gatsby, directed by Baz Luhrmann, 2013). The main goal of the thesis was to define narrative as well as motive changes among the movies and the novel; along with that we concentrated on the visual styles of story presentation by given directors. On the basis of methodology by George Bluestone the thesis is divided into two key parts of comparative analysis, in which we use as well the definitions of elements (fabula, syuzhet and style) derived from a narrative theory by David Bordwell. In the first part of comparative analysis we found out which parts of fabula and components of syuzhet from novel are or are not use within the frame of two given films. Within the scope of second part we focused on the styles of given directors and how they incorporate formal and stylistic elements frequently used in their films in adaptations of The Great Gatsby. Furthermore we tried to review the authenticity of film in context with real historical era in which the plot of the novel is taking place. Eventually, by virtue of analytic parts we summed up all gained knowledge.
