Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem anglicky psaného textu, konkrétně kapitoly Representations Reconsidered (i): Phonological Structure above the Level of the Segment z monografie Philipa Carra Phonology (1993). Překlad je opatřen komentářem, který uvádí originální podobu termínů, vysvětluje jednotlivé jevy a poskytuje český překlad cizojazyčných příkladů. Práce také obsahuje kapitolu věnující se teorii překladu, charakteristice odborného textu a specifikům překladu z angličtiny do češtiny. Součástí je i kapitola o generativní fonologii. K práci je přiložen původní anglický text.The theses concerns with a translation of English-written text, specifically the chapter Representations Reconsidered (i): Phonological Structure above the Level of the Segment from monograph Phonology (1993) by Philip Carr. The translation is provided with commentary, which states the original form of the terms, explains the individual phenomena and provides Czech translation of the foreign language examples. The thesis also contains a chapter focusing on translation theory, characteristics of the scientific text and specific features of translation from English to Czech. It also includes a chapter about generative phonology. Original English text is attached as well.
