Diplomová práce si klade za cíl poskytnout srovnání současné situace a hlavních trendů v oblasti sociálního tlumočení ve Vlámsku a České republice. Na základě relevantních zdrojů je nastíněna komplexnost této oblasti a zároveň je poskytnut přehled legálního a institucionálního rámce sociálního tlumočení ve Vlámsku a v České republice. V první části popisuji termín sociální tlumočení a přesně tím definuji, čím se budu ve své diplomové práce zabývat. Poté na základě aktuálních statistických zpráv srovnám skupiny cizinců v obou zemích. V další části se zabývám systémem udělováni azylu ve Vlámsku a České republice se zaměřením na právní strukturu, praxi a proceduru udělení azylu. Tato teoretická část byla zařazena z důvodu, že má také vliv na sociální tlumočení. Následně je prezentována současná praxe sociálního tlumočení ve Vlámsku a České republice. Struktura sociálního tlumočení v obou zemích je popsána v celkem pěti částech. Poté je srovnána a jsou uvedeny shody a rozdíly v obou systémech. Na konci každé části následuje konkluze. Na závěr je sociální tlumočení na základě pěti srovnávacích sekcí analyzováno. Srovnávání umožnilo identifikaci hlavních trendů v sociálním tlumočení ve Vlámsku a v České republice.The thesis aims at providing an initial general comparison of the current situation of community interpreting in Flanders and in the Czech Republic. On the basis of relevant publications the complexity of this area of work is elaborated upon, followed by an outline of the legal and institutional framework of the community interpreting in Flanders and in the Czech Republic. In the first section I describe the term community interpreting and define exactly what kind of community interpreting my thesis will deal with. Hereafter, the foreign nationalities in both countries are illustrated by means of current statistical reports. The next section focuses on current asylum systems in Belgium and in the Czech Republic and elaborates on issues such as identifying the legal structure, the settings and the asylum procedure in both countries because this also influences the community interpreting. Subsequently, practice of the community interpreting in Flanders and in the Czech Republic is presented. In five sections I first describe the structure in Flanders and in the Czech Republic. Then I compared the structures in both countries and outlined the similarities and differences between both systems. A general comparison was drawn at the end of each section. Finally the practice of community interpreting in both countries is outlined and analyzed on the basis of comparisons of the five sections. The comparisons also enabled an identification of general trends regarding the community interpreting in Flanders and in the Czech Republic.
