Disertační práce se soustředí na vývoj a aktivity německých divadelních, hudebních, pěveckých a uměleckých spolků, reprezentující kulturní a umělecké dění, které vycházelo z olomoucké německé společnosti samotné. V rámci disertace je prezentován přehled kulturních a uměleckých spolků, jejich struktura a činnost či zařazení do kulturního života Olomouce i analýza diskusí o kulturním stavu německé olomoucké společnosti. Dále jsou představeny koncepty ke zlepšení koordinace spolkových aktivit a pokus jejich provázání v podobě realizace ?Deutsches Haus? (Německý dům). Poslední těžiště a tzv. (hlavní) jádro práce tvoří podrobná analýza struktury, činnosti a financování spolku ?Deutscher Theaterverein in Olmütz? (Německý divadelní spolek v Olomouci), který byl založen ještě před vypuknutím první světové války a na základě jeho vývoje v období 1. ČSR je demonstrováno, jakým způsobem spolek čelil novým výzvám, které na jednou stranu přinesly výše už zmíněné nové politické, sociální a hospodářské poměry v českých zemích, a které na druhou stranu souvisely s celosvětovým společenským, hudebním, uměleckým a technickým vývojem.The thesis gives an overview of the major theatre, musical and art associations and how their respective activities played a role in the German cultural life of Olomouc. The overview includes the founding of individual associations, their structure, financing and members. After providing an overview of the main theatre, musical and art associations, an analysis of the debates on the cultural status and the tasks of the German culture life in the city (based on the publications in the German daily Mährisches Tagblatt) will then follow. This chapter also includes a review of the different plans to improve the coordination of the activities of German cultural associations in Olomouc which, for example, led to the building of the Deutsches Haus (German house) in 1933. The core of the work is a detailed analysis of the Deutscher Theaterverein in Olmütz (German Theatre Association in Olomouc) with focus on the structure of the association, its membership, financing and activities of the association which was founded just before the outbreak of the First World War.
