Diplomová práce se zabývá postavením ženy u olašských Romů žijících v České republice. Obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá tématy jako jsou: sociální role, postavení ženy ve společnosti, historií a tradicemi Romů, romstvím z pohledu plzeňských antropologů (Jakoubka) a romského aktivisty (Holomka) či politologa (Barši). V neposlední řadě se věnuje i olašským Romům. Praktická část vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu a zahrnuje metodologii celé práce i samotný výzkum. Výzkum je realizován na základě metody životní křivky a metody hloubkového rozhovoru. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké postavení má žena u olašských Romů s důrazem na měnící se kontexty sociální role ženy v prostředí olašských Romů v České republice.This master´s thesis deals with the status of Vlach Roma women living in the Czech Republic. It contains a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with topics such as social role, the position of women in society, the history and traditions of the Roma, the Roma from the point of view of Pilsen anthropologists (Jakoubek), a Roma activist (Holomek), or a political scientist (Barša). Eventually, I focus on specifics of the Vlach Roma. The practical part is based on qualitative research and includes the methodology of the whole work and of the research itself. The research is based on the method of the life line and the method of in-depth interview. The aim of the thesis is to find out what is the position of a Vlach Roma woman with emphasis on changing contexts of the social role of women in the environment of Vlach Roma in the Czech Republic.
