Bakalářská práce se zabývá průběhem taneční kariéry baletních umělců a jejich přechodem do postkariérní fáze. Cílem práce je popsat jednotlivé fáze taneční kariéry, tedy vstupní, aktivní i fázi ukončení aktivní kariéry. Teoretická část práce zachycuje historický vývoj tance a baletu i postavení tanečníka, dále specifika baletní profese a věnuje se aktuální problematice tohoto povolání. Přibližuje, jak těsně je toto povolání spojené s faktory zdraví, pohlaví a věku a jak jsou těmito faktory tanečníci ovlivňováni a limitováni. Výzkum ve druhé části je realizován na tanečnicích a tanečnících různých věkových kategorií a v různých fázích profesní kariéry. Metodou polostrukturovaného interview pojednává o studiu, očekáváních, krátké profesní životnosti a nejisté budoucnosti baletních umělců.This thesis focuses to the process of ballet artists? dancing career and its transition into post-career phase. The aim is to describe the various stages of an active dance career, i. e. the initial, the active and the final. In its theoretical part the thesis describes the historical development of dance, ballet and the status of a professional dancer, also the specifics of ballet profession and deals especially with current problems of them. Zooms to the close connection with circumstances of health, gender and age, and how they determine individual dancers. Research in the second part is implemented on dancers of different ages and in different stages of their careers. By the semi-structured interview the studies, expectations, short professional life and uncertain future of ballet artists are debated.
