Diplomová práca sa zaoberá spiritualitou súčasného mladého človeka študujúceho na vysokej škole. Skúma jej súvislosť s pohlavím, národnosťou, veľkosťou obce, vierou v transcendentno, študijným zameraním a voľnočasovou orientáciou. Hlavným cieľom práce je zistenie existencie štatisticky významných rozdielov medzi spiritualitou študentov na základe odlišnosti menovaných parametrov výskumného súboru. Prvá časť práce sa preto sústredí na teoretické vymedzenie obdobia neskorej adolescencie a popis jeho základných charakteristík, uvedenie čitateľa do širšej terminologickej a vedeckej problematiky spirituality a jeho oboznámenie s výsledkami najnovších výskumov daného javu. Nadväzujúca druhá časť práce je zameraná prakticky a popisuje autorom uskutočnený výskum spirituality vysokoškolských študentov zo Slovenska a Českej republiky. Dáta 307 študentov boli zozbierané pomocou vytvoreného dotazníka, pozostávajúceho z otázok zisťujúcich demografické údaje a náboženskú vieru respondentov, štandardizovanej škály ESI, vytvorenej MacDonaldom a batérie voľnočasových aktivít. Výskum odhalil existenciu signifikantných rozdielov v dimenziách spirituality na základe odlišnej národnosti, veľkosti obce, viery a voľnočasovej orientácie.The final thesis deals with the spirituality of young people of today who are studying at universities. It is focused on the relationship of gender, nationality, size of particular community, faith, field of study and leisure time activities. The main objective of the thesis is to prove the existence of statistically significant differences between spirituality of the students which is based on the diversity of the named parameters. The first part focuses on the theoretical definition of the late adolescence and provides a description of its essential characteristics. It acknowledges the readers with the broader scientific terminology and matters of spirituality. The reader is also acquainted with the results of the recent significant researches of the phenomenon. The second part of the final project describes a research on the situation of spirituality of university students from the Slovak and Czech Republic. There were collected data of 307 students using a questionnaire which included details about religious beliefs and demographical data standardized in the ESI scale (Expressions of Spirituality Inventory), created by MacDonald, and information about leisure time activities. The research disclosed the existence of significant differences in the dimensions of spirituality according to the particular nationality, religion, abundance of a community and spare-time activities.
