Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu populismu a jeho aplikaci na konkrétní politický subjekt. Cílem práce je identifikovat základní charakteristiky populismu na základě literární analýzy a následně aplikovat tyto znaky na vybranou politickou stranu, konkrétně Pirátskou stranu v České republice. Práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání vývoje populistických prvků v rétorice a politických strategiích Pirátské strany od voleb v roce 2017 až do voleb v roce 2021. Analyzuje, jak se populistické prvky projevovaly v její politické komunikaci a zda se změnily. K tomu využívá teoretických rámců definovaných v odborné literatuře o populismu a vymezuje klíčové znaky populismu, jako jsou vztah k lidu, kritika elit a establishmentu, či důraz na přímou demokracii. Práce se zabývá teoretickou analýzou, ale také praktickým výzkumem konkrétních politických projevů a kampaní. Výsledky ukazují, že Pirátská strana v roce 2017 vykazovala určité populistické tendence, které se po jejím zapojení do vlády zmírnily. Tento výzkum přispívá k rozšíření metodologických přístupů k analýze populismu v politických stranách a poskytuje náhled do vývoje politické komunikace u této konkrétní strany.This thesis focuses on the analysis of populism and its application to a specific political entity. The aim of the study is to identify the core characteristics of populism through a literature review and subsequently apply these traits to a selected political party, specifically the Pirate Party in the Czech Republic. The research examines the development of populist elements in the rhetoric and political strategies of the Pirate Party from the 2017 elections to the 2021 elections. It analyses how populist elements were manifested in the party's political communication and whether they evolved over time. The study utilizes theoretical frameworks from the academic literature on populism and defines key features of populism, such as the relationship with the people, criticism of elites and the establishment, and emphasis on direct democracy. The thesis combines both theoretical analysis and practical research on specific political speeches and campaigns. The results show that the Pirate Party displayed strong populist tendencies in 2017, which softened after joining the government. This research contributes to expanding methodological approaches for analysing populism in political parties and provides insights into the evolution of political communication within this particular party.
