Cieľom tejto práce je priblížiť vybrané diela autora, menovite "Bratia" a "Siedmy deň", a na základe ich analýzy skúmať obraz súčasnej situácie v Číne z autorovho pohľadu. Obe diela sa odohrávajú na konci dvadsiateho storočia, obdobia, kedy sa ČĽR otvára kapitalistickému trhu. Dochádza k mnohým zmenám v politike, kultúre a najmä v spoločnosti, ktoré mali dopad na tradičné hodnoty. Prvá kapitola stručne pojednáva o vývine literatúry po ukončení Kultúrnej revolúcie. Druhá kapitola je venovaná životu a tvorbe čínskeho spisovateľa Yu Hua. V tretej kapitole sa práca venuje analýze samotných diel.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse two works, "Brothers" and "The Seventh Day" by the Chinese writer Yu Hua. Based on selected themes, it wants to point out that Yu Hua focuses on painful problems in his latest works. Both works are taking place at the end of the twentieth century, when PRC opened to the capitalist market. There were many changes in politics, culture and especially in society. The first chapter briefly discusses the development of literature at the end of the Cultural Revolution. The second chapter is dedicated to the life and work of Chinese writer Yu Hua. The third chapter deals with the analysis of the two works themselves.
