Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat problematiku deforestace v Demokratické republice Kongo. V prvních kapitolách jsou charakterizovány přírodní podmínky v Demokratické republice Kongo a stručně shrnuta historie území. Dále je vymezen pojem deforestace a rozebrány příčiny deforestace v Demokratické republice Kongo. V rámci práce jsou uvedena některá opatření, která se snaží o nalezení kompromisu mezi ekonomickým rozvojem a ochranou tropického deštného lesa. Práce by měla analyzovat danou problematiku v společensko-politickém i environmentálním kontextu a přispět tak ke zvýšení povědomí o daném tématu.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe issues of deforestation in The Democratic Republic of Congo. In the first chapters, there are characterized natural conditions in The Democratic Republic of Congo and there is summarized the history of the area of interest. The thesis deals with the phenomenon of deforestation in general and then describes the causes of the deforestation in The Democratic Republic of Congo. There are given some measures trying to find a compromise between economic growth and protection of the rainforest. The thesis should analyse the phenomenon in the social-political and environmental context and in this way contribute to general knowledge about deforestation in The Democratic Republic of Congo.
