Diplomovou práci jsem psala na téma: "Postavení a role islámu v Evropské unii", jelikož se dlouhodobě zajímám o problematiku islámu a integrace muslimů a menšin obecně do společnosti. Práce jsem rozdělila na hlavní tři části. Nejdříve definuji islám a přibližuji islámskou společnost. Dále se věnuji evropské integraci a postavení muslimů v EU obecně. Ve stručnosti rozebírám evropskou integrační politiku, islamofobii a nebo také terorismus. V závěrečné části jsem provedla hlubší analýzu situace ve Francii a v České republice. Mapuji postupné kroky integračních procesů zejména ve 20. století, zaměřuji se na aktuální problematiku a hodnotím současnou situaci. Výsledkem analýz je návrh souboru nástrojů sloužících ke zlepšení současné situace s muslimskými menšinami v jednotlivých zemích. Islám má v EU čím dál významnější postavení a vzhledem k predikci budoucího demografického vývoje se očekává, že tento význam ještě poroste, proto považuji za důležité se rolí islámu v EU blížeji zabývat a s muslimskými menšinami úzce pracovat.For the Master´s diploma I have chosen the subject of "Position and role of islam in the European Union" for several reasons. Since many years I have been interested in islam and the integration of muslims into the european countries. And not only muslims but integration of minorities in general. I have devided the thesis into three main parts. At the beginning I describe the religion of islam and its culture. Afterwards I focus on the european integration and the position of muslims in the EU in general. Briefly, I describe the european integration policy, the islamophobia and also a terrorism. At the end I have done the analysis of the situation in France and in Czech republic. This parts consists of the historici background of the integration mostly in 20th century, I mention the actual situation and problems with muslim minority. As the result I offer a scope of tools how to act with the muslim minorities. As islam is a fast growing religion and due to the demographic tendence in EU, it is highly expected that the role of islam will become more important than nowadays. Also for this reason I suggest to keep the interest in the situation and closely work with muslim minorities in the european countries.
