Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu využití validační terapie v sociálních zařízeních pro seniory na Šumpersku. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jak se etabluje v České republice a zda se využívá v sociálních zařízeních pro seniory s demencí konkrétně v okrese Šumperk. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou validační terapie, vymezuje její základní cíle a principy. Vymezuje pojmy stáří, demence a seznamuje s dalšími terapeutickými směry, které jsou využívány při péči o seniory, jako je reminiscenční terapie, se kterou je validační terapie nejčastěji zaměňována. Rovněž je zde popsáno, jaká je možnost vzdělávání v oblasti validační terapie. V praktické části je popsáno, jaké je povědomí pracovníků o této terapii, jakým způsobem a s jakými výsledky je tato terapie využívána v zařízení, ve kterém pracují. Za účelem naplnění cílů výzkumu použiji kvalitativní typ výzkumu. Přičemž oslovím sociální pracovníky v pěti různých zařízeních pro seniory.The bachelor thesis deals with the use of validation therapy in social facilities for seniors in Šumperk. The main goal was to find out how the therapy established in the Czech Republic and whether it was used in social facilities for seniors with dementia, specifically in the Šumperk district. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the issue of validation therapy, defines its basic goals and principles. The thesis defines the terms of old age, dementia and introduces other therapeutic directions that are used in the care of the elderly, such as reminiscence therapy is most often confused with validation therapy. It also describes the possibility of education in validation therapy. In the practical part is described what is the awareness of workers about this therapy, how is used and what is result this therapy used in the facility where they work. I will use a qualitative type of research to meet the research objectives. I will speak with social workers in five different facilities for the elderly.
