Bakalářská práce poskytuje stručný popis seniorů a s nimi nedílně spjaté pojmy stáří a stárnutí. Dále popisuje problematiku spirituálních potřeb. Následně definuje sociální práci a role sociálního pracovníka u seniorů a jeho možnosti při naplňování spirituálních potřeb seniorů. Což tvoří teoretickou část práce, která utvořila základ pro metodologickou část, zabývající se postoji seniorů ke spirituálním potřebám a možnostmi pomoci sociálních pracovníků v naplňování těchto potřeb u seniorů.My bachelor's thesis offers a brief description of seniors and of terms like "old age" and "aging" which are inseparably connected with them. Further it describes the problem of spiritual needs. This is followed by defining the social work and the roles of a social worker in relation to the seniors as well as the social worker's possibilities in fulfilling the spiritual needs of seniors. It is the theoretical part of this thesis and it serves as the basis for the methodological part which deals with the attitudes of seniors to the spiritual needs and the social workers' possibilities of helping to fulfil the needs of seniors.
