Krátce je nastíněn život autorky, její dílo a osobní pojetí této knihy. Komentář, který následuje za překladem, se zabývá problematikou překladu ze španělštiny do češtiny, interpunkcí ve španělštině a rozborem některých fragmentů překladu.This work brings the literary work of Julia Alvarez through the translation of three separate passages of her book En el tiempo de las mariposas (In the Time of the Butterflies). Briefly outlines the life of the author, her work and personal approach to this book. Commentary, which follows the translation, deals with the translation from Spanish into Czech, punctuation in Spanish and the analysis of some fragments of the translation.
