Bakalářská práce se zabývá pohledem sester pracujících s gerontologickými pacienty na tuto profesi. Teoretická část je zaměřena na geriatrické ošetřovatelství, jeho historii a současnost. Popisuje požadavky na osobnost sestry, její chování a komunikaci. Závěr teoretické části je věnován duševní hygieně a syndromům vyhoření. V praktické části jsou předkládány výsledky dotazníkového šetření, provedeného v listopadu 2008 u sester pracujících v LDN v Chrudimi, Vysokém Mýtě a Rybitví. Cílem tohoto šetření bylo zmapovat negativní a stresové faktory, ale i pozitivní aspekty jejich profese. Posoudit jejich komunikační dovednosti, ochotu ke zdokonalení se v přístupu k pacientům, znalosti a využívání technik duševní hygieny. Výsledky šetření jsou shrnuty v diskuzi a závěru práce.This Bachelor work is concerned with the view of nurses working with gerontological patients in this profession. The theoretical part concentrates on geriatric care, its history and nowadays. It describes the needs of nurse´s personality, her behaviour and communication. The conclusion of the theoretical part is focused on mental hygiene and the burnout syndrome. In the practical part there are presumed results of a questionnaire which was taken in November 2008 with nurses working in medical institution of long term basis (LDN) in Chrudim, in Vysoké Mýto and Rybitví in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this survey was to map negative and stress factors. However also to map the positive aspects of their profession. Such as to consider their communication skills, the challenge to be motivated in approach towards patients, the knowledge and the use of mental hygiene techniques. The results of the survey are summarized in a discussion and the conclusion of this work.
