Diplomová práce si klade za cíl získat subjektivní výpovědi mladých pacientů týkající se zkušeností s hematoonkologickým onemocněním a dále srovnání těchto výpovědí mužů s výpověďmi žen, které byly získány v rámci bakalářské práce Subjektivní prožívání u pacientek s hematoonkologickým onemocněním (Černá, 2015). V teoretické části je vymezeno téma onkologického onemocnění, jeho charakteristika, diagnostika a možnosti léčby. Blíže se zaobírá lymfomy, konkrétně Hodgkinovým lymfomem a nehodgkinskými lymfomy. V teorii je dále popsána oblast psychoonkologie, charakteristika nemoci, problematika sdělování diagnózy, prožívání nemoci a psychické dopady nemocí způsobené. Teoretickou část uzavírá charakteristika období mezi 20. a 30. rokem života, což odpovídá věkovému rozmezí respondentů. Ti byli vybráni metodou samovýběru. Výzkum je kvalitativního charakteru a je založený na anamnézách a rozhovorech pěti mužů, které byly následně srovnány s výpověďmi pěti žen. Výzkum se týkal oblastí života před onemocněním, projevů onemocnění, diagnózy, prožívání léčby a celkové zkušenosti s onemocněním. Pro všechny respondenty byla tako zkušenost fyzicky i psychicky náročná a museli čelit celé řadě nežádoucích účinků léčby. Přesto jsou dnes schopni vidět i určitá pozitiva této zkušenosti.The goal of my diploma thesis is to obtain subjective responses from young patients regarding their experience with hemantooncological illness and furthermore to compare the responses of men and women, that have been accumulated for the purposes of my previous bachelor's thesis Subjective Experience of Pacients with Hemato-oncological Disease (Černá, 2015). In the theoretical part, I am introducing the theme of oncological illness, its charasterictics, its diagnosis and the means of its treatment. Lymphoma, especifically Hodgkinson's lymphoma has been described in more detail. In the chapter devoted to theory, I have provided a description of psychooncology, the characteristics of an illness, the problematics of announcing the diagnosis, of experiencing the illness and it's psychological impacts on a person. In the very end of the theoretical part of my diploma thesis, I have characterised the period of life of people between the age of 20 and 30 which has also been the age range of the respondents. The method of self-selection has been used when choosing the respondents. The research is of a qualitative character and is based on anamnesis and interviews with five men. These anamnesis and interviews have been compared to the statements of those of five women. The research is refering to the period of life before the diagnosis of the illness, the symptoms of the illness, the diagnosis itself, the way the person experiences the illness in detail and in general. Every single person that I have interviewed for the purposes of my diploma thesis has gone through a very difficult experience - physically and psychologically - and had to face a whole of undesirable impacts of the treatment. However, they didn't give up and today they are able to see even the positive sides of this experience.
