Tato diplomová práce popisuje jeden z důležitých institutů sociálního zabezpečení, a to životní minimum. První kapitola pojednává o obecném vymezení sociálního zabezpečení se zaměřením na jednotlivé zásady, které se zde uplatňují. Ve druhé kapitole jsou vymezeny prameny právní úpravy, a to jak vnitrostátní, tak evropské a mezinárodní. Třetí kapitola vymezuje životní minimum, jeho právní úpravu dle zákona č. 463/1991 Sb., o životním minimu a jeho současnou právní úpravu dle zákona č. 110/2006 Sb. o životním a existenčním minimu, který vstoupil v platnost 1. ledna 2007. V páté a šesté kapitole je ukázáno konkrétní využití životní minima. Pátá kapitola se zabývá životním minimem v systému státní sociální podpory, v šesté kapitole je potom životní minimum v systému pomoci v hmotné nouzi. Při zpracování diplomové práce bylo použito mnoho knih, odborných článků i konzultací.This dessertation describes one of the important divisions of social security, the living wage. The first charter deals with the general definition of social security, focusing on individual policies that are applied. The second chapter defines sources of legislation, both national, european and international. The third chapter defines the living wage, its legislation by Act No. 463/1991, on the living wage and its existing legislation by Act No. 110/2006 on the living wage and breadline enacted 1. January 2007. The fifth and sixth chapter demonstrate a specific use of the living wage. The fifth chapter deal with the living wage in relation to the system of state social support, the sixth chapter describes relation of the living wage to an assistance in material need. When processing this thesis I have used many books, technical articles and consultations.
