Celý tento jeho pohled je porovnáván s přístupem Alexe Rosenberga, který kritizuje narativní historii a stejně jako Popper se vymezuje vůči předvídání budoucích jevů na základě historie. Práce začíná stručným představením Popperových filozofických pozic, poté se zabývá jeho celkovým pohledem na historii. Následuje zastavení u historicismu, jakožto u směru, který nesprávně nakládá s historií a je zdrojem pro ideologie. Pokračuje nastíněním Rosenbergovy pozice. Nejdříve se pokouším vysvětlit scientismus, ze kterého Rosenberg vychází. Scientismus je nekompromisní pohled na přístup nabývání poznání, který vede k odmítnutí teorie mysli, jakožto špatného nástroje pro historická vysvětlení. Teorie mysli tedy tvoří další část nutnou k pochopení kritiky narativní historie, která představuje poslední segment před samotným srovnáním. V hlavní části této práce jsou představeny společné rysy v konceptech obou myslitelů, ale také pasáže, v nichž se oba zásadně rozchází. Rosenberg criticizes narrative history and, like Popper, rejects the use of history for predicting future phenomena. The thesis begins with a brief introduction to Popper's philosophical positions, then discusses his overall perspective on history. Subsequently, it adresses historicism, emphasizing its mishandlingof history and its exploitation for ideological purposes. The thesis then proceeds to outline Rosenberg's position. Initially, an explanation of scientism, which serves as the foundation of Rosenberg's ideas, is provided. Scientism represents an uncompromising perspective on the approach to the acquisition of knowledge that leads to the rejection of theory of mind as a inadequate tool for historical explanations. Consequently, an understanding of the theory of mind becomes crucial to comprehending the critique of narrative history, which is discussed prior to the actual comparison between Popper and Rosenberg. The main part of this thesis presents commonalities in the concepts of both thinkers, as well as notable differences between them. In addition to a summary, the conclusion includes a brief reflection on the implications of Rosenberg's radical position.
