This master´s thesis examines the attitudes of the EU and its Member States towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and analyses the attitudes of Czech political leaders towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the logic of consequences and the logic of appropriateness. The aim of the thesis is to define the factors that lead member states to support one side or the other in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, using the Czech Republic as a case study. The thesis also provides a historical overview of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, defines the European Union's foreign policy and names the factors that influence it. In addition, it also outlines the EU's position and role in the conflict and explains the extent to which the EU influences member states' attitudes towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This master´s thesis examines the attitudes of the EU and its Member States towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and analyses the attitudes of Czech political leaders towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the logic of consequences and the logic of appropriateness.
