Tato diplomová práce pojednává o významu kříže ve spiritualitě bl. Marie Terezy Scrilli. Zabývá se historií vývoje úcty ke kříži a jeho významem pro život křesťanů. Popisuje okolnosti vzniku karmelského řádu a uvádí podstatné prvky jeho spirituality. Spojením ?kříže? a ?karmelitánské spirituality? uvádí čtenáře do kontextu života M. T. Scrilli. Na událostech jejího života, především těch těžkých, je pak vyzdvižena její snaha žít důsledně podle přikázání lásky i za cenu neustálého duchovního boje, který je karmelitánské spiritualitě vlastní. Nakonec jsou zmíněny plody jejího celoživotního úsilí.This thesis deals with the meaning of the cross in the spirituality of beatified Mary Therese Scrilli. It is concerned with the history of devotion to the cross and its meaning for the life of christians. It describes circumstances of the origin of the carmelite order and it mentions the fundamental elements of its spirituality. Joining "the cross" and "the carmelite spirituality", the reader is led into the context of the life of bt. Mary Therese Scrilli. On some episodes of her life, especially the difficult ones, there is higlighted her endeavor to live consistently according to the commandment of love even at the cost of everlasting spiritual fight which is own to the carmelite spirituality. At the end there are mentioned fruits of her lifelong endeavor.
