Cílem diplomové práce je představit Statutární město Kladno a jeho zahraniční spolupráci s partnerskými městy. Jedná se o oficiální partnerství s městy Vitry ? sur ? Seine ve Francii a Bellevue v americkém státě Washington. Neoficiální je pak spolupráce s městem Aachen v Německu. V práci jsou popsány nejdříve teoreticky principy zahraniční spolupráce partnerských měst, jejich základní vymezení, oblasti spolupráce, způsoby financování, právní rámec zahraniční spolupráce, její přínosy apod. Praktická část se pak věnuje jednotlivým partnerstvím města Kladna, historii navázání jejich vztahů, společným aktivitám a vývoji těchto vztahů v průběhu několika let. Poslední část charakterizuje subjekty, které vznikly v rámci partnerství města Kladna a které město v rámci své zahraniční spolupráce podporuje. Jedná se o Francouzsko ? český klub Kladno, Kladno Sister Cities Association a Kiwanis klub Kladno.The aim of this thesis is to present the city of Kladno and its international cooperation and partnership with other towns. Kladno has an official partnership with the town of Vitry-sur-Seine in France, Bellevue in the USA and an unofficial partnership with the town of Aachen in Germany. The first part of the thesis describes the principles of the international cooperation with sister cities, its main characteristics, the field of their mutual cooperation, ways of funding, the legal framework of the international cooperation, its benefits, etc. The empirical part of the work depicts the individual partnerships of the city of Kladno, its history, common activities and the development of its partnerships over several years. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the subjects related to the international partnerships and supported by the city of Kladno: Francouzsko-český klub Kladno, Kladno Sister Cities Association and the Kiwanis Club Kladno.
