Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na komparaci filmů Souboj Titánů z let 1981 a 2010 s důrazem na speciální a vizuální efekty. Výchozí metodologií je neoformalistický přístup popsaný v knize Kristin Thompsonové Breaking the Glass Armor. Práce nahlíží na jednotlivé verze z hlediska toho, jaké typy efektů byly použity k realizaci námětu a jakou funkci plnily v příběhu. Pozornost je věnována také možnostem a omezením, které tyto technologie představovaly a kterým museli tvůrci při jejich používání čelit. Hlavním cílem práce je pak neoformalistický rozbor scény, jejíž varianta se vyskytuje v obou verzích. Na základě jejího srovnání je zjištěno, že užité efekty a jejich možnosti ovlivnily nejen vzhled mizanscény, ale také styl a dynamiku sekvence.The bachelor thesis focuses on a comparison of the Clash of the Titans films from 1981 and 2010 with an emphasis on special and visual effects. The initial methodology is the neo-formalist approach described in Kristin Thompson's book Breaking the Glass Armor. The thesis looks at each version in terms of what types of effects were used to implement the theme and the function they fulfilled in the story. Attention is also paid to the possibilities and limitations that these technologies presented and that the filmmakers had to face when using them. The main aim of the thesis is then a neo-formalist analysis of the scene, a variant of which occurs in both versions. Based on its comparison, it is found the effects used and their possibilities influenced not only the appearance of the mise-en-scene, but also the style and dynamics of the sequence.
