Cílem této diplomové magisterské práce je analýza jazykové stránky tří českých překladů Dickensova románu David Copperfield, díky níž je možné formulovat obecně platné vývojové tendence v oblasti lexikologie, morfologie a syntaxe. Pozornost je věnována zejména kodifikaci spisovné češtiny, vývoji překladatelství, příznakovému lexiku, prostředkům koheze textu, knižním konstrukcím, modalitě, slovosledném postavení větných složek, podobě predikátorů a nominalizovaným konstrukcím. Závěrečná část práce je věnována lexikálním, morfologickým a syntaktickým anglicismům odhaleným na základě porovnání těchto tří překladů s originálem.The aim of this master's thesis is the analysis of the language of three czech translations of Dickens' novel David Copperfield. Due to detailed language analysis, we were able to describe lexicological, morphological and syntactic development tendencies that occured over time. Comparing these three translations with the original text also allowed us to detect the most prominent lexical, morphological and syntactic anglicisms. In this thesis, we mainly deal with the codification of Czech standard language, the history of Czech translations, the specifics of the vocabulary of the analyzed translations, textual cohesion, literary phrases and obsolescent constructions, modality, word order of sentence components, the form of predicates and nominalised constructions. The final chapters of our thesis are dedicated to the comparison of the English language with Czech language and finally we described selected lexical, morphological and syntactic anglicisms.
