Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rolí sociální opory u žen s karcinomem prsu. V první kapitole je představeno onemocnění z pohledu etiologie, epidemiologie, diagnostických možností a léčebných postupů. Druhá kapitola se věnuje problematice sociální opory, a to zejména s ohledem na zdravotní stav a výskyt chronických obtíží. Třetí kapitola je podrobnou rešerší dostupných výzkumů sociální opory a onkologického onemocnění, která zahrnuje studie jak kvalitativního, tak i kvantitativního charakteru. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit, jakou zkušenost se sociální oporou mají ženy s karcinomem prsu. Sběr dat byl uskutečněn pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s 6 respondentkami, přičemž bylo identifikováno několik podstatných zdrojů sociální opory, které ženám v této nelehké situaci pomohly. Zjištění byla podrobena konfrontaci s jinými studiemi. V závěru byla práce kriticky posouzena z hlediska možných limitů a budoucího směřování výzkumu.This diploma thesis deals with the role of social support in women with breast cancer. The first chapter presents the disease in terms of etiology, epidemiology, diagnostic options and treatment procedures. The second chapter deals with the issue of social support, especially with regard to health status and the occurrence of chronic problems. The third chapter is a detailed search of available research on social support and cancer, which includes studies of both qualitative and quantitative nature. The aim of the research part was to find out what experience women with breast cancer have with social support. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 6 respondents, while several significant sources of social support were identified that helped women in this difficult situation. The findings were confronted with other studies. In the end the work was critically assessed in terms of possible limits and future direction of research.
