Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá narativními a stylovými kvalitami 8. epizody 3. sezóny Twin Peaks a reakcemi na ni různých kategorií diváků. Cílem práce bylo určení klíčových specifik televizní formy této epizody a vytvoření představy o tom, jak na ně reagovala různá publika. V analytické části proto byly kombinované metody narativní a stylové analýzy, ve vztahu k recepci byla použita kvantitativní analýza kritických a diváckých recenzí. V závěru byly formulované základní techniky v práci s postavami, časoprostorem a událostmi a byla určena pozice 8. epizody v rámci celé série. Shrnuty byly také výsledky obsahové analýzy, které ukázaly výrazný rozpor v názorech recipientů a tím potvrdily unikátní status této epizody.This bachelor thesis examines the narrative and stylistic qualities of Part 8 of Twin Peaks: The Return and explores the reaction of the public to it. The purpose of this study is to identify the key specifics of storytelling and work with the components of style in this episode, as well as displaying the perspective of its viewer perception. To accomplish this task, a combination of narrative, stylistic and content analysis was chosen. Narrative analysis focused on both the episode's intrinsic qualities and its position within the overall framework of the season. The analysis of the elements of style was aimed at studying the various techniques that create its unique form. The results of these two analytical approaches were compared with data on the viewers' perception of individual narrative and style elements. This approach made it possible to detect a large difference in the opinions of different categories of recipients and confirm the unique status of this episode both through the prism of its own characteristics and through the perspective of the audience's perception.
