Práce se zabývá problematikou výskytu diabetu mellitu I. typu v partnerském životě. Teoretická část obsahuje informace o chronickém onemocnění, diabetu mellitu I. typu a diabetu mellitu I. typu v partnerském vztahu. Zajímalo nás, jak každý z partnerů vnímá diabetes mellitus I. typu a jak partneři společně vnímají vliv této nemoci na partnerský vztah. Do výzkumu bylo zapojeno sedm párů. Data byla sbírána metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a analyzována dle schématu zakotvené teorie. Výsledky práce jsou z velké části shodné s poznatky teoretické části. Partneři nezaznamenali výrazný vliv diabetu mellitu I. typu nebo vnímali pouze počáteční vliv nemoci na vztah. Počáteční vliv nemoci souvisel s vnímáním nemoci a informovaností partnerů o diabetu mellitu I. typu. Do života partnerů významně zasahují také pomůcky k léčbě nemoci.This thesis deals with the issue of diabetes mellitus type 1 in a partner life. The theoretical part contains the information about the chronic disease, diabetes mellitus type 1 and diabetes mellitus type 1 in a partnership. We were interested in how each partner percieves diabetes mellitus type 1 in the partnership and how partners percieve the influence of this disease on the partnership. The research involved seven couples. Data were collected using the semi-structured interview method and were analyzed according to the grounded theory scheme. The results of the work ale largely same as the information in the theoretical part. The partners did not notice any significant effect of diabetes mellitus type 1 or they percieved only the initial effect of the disease on the relationship. The initial impact of the disease was related to the perception of the disease and to the awareness of partners about the diabetes mellitus type 1. The medical equipment for diabetes mellitus type 1 cure considerably steps in the partnership.
