Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na další vzdělávání seniorů a konkrétní příklady edukace, kterými jsou Univerzity třetího věku (U3V) a Virtuální univerzity třetího věku (VU3V). Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy, práce stručně nahlíží do historie, pojednává o účastnících a organizaci U3V a VU3V. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit názory organizátorů a frekventantů virtuálního vzdělávání na tuto alternativu výuky U3V, případně názory těch, kteří s daným typem vzdělávání mají zkušenosti. Tento cíl byl v práci dále konkretizován. Pro dosažení zvoleného cíle byly v empirické části práce zvoleny dva směry sběru dat. První směr výzkumu, jako dotazníkový předvýzkum, byl zaměřen na účastníky VU3V a jejich spokojenost, motivaci a bariéry. V této souvislosti byly realizovány rozhovory s organizátory a tutory U3V a VU3V. Propojením obou částí výzkumného šetření bylo odpovězeno na výzkumné otázky.The diploma thesis is focused on further senior´s education and particular examples of education, which are the Third Age Universities (U3V) and the Virtual University of the Third Age (VU3V). The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts. The thesis briefly looks into the history and treats about the participants and the organization of U3V and VU3V. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the opinions of the organizers and participants of virtual education about this alternative of U3V learning, or the opinions of those who have experience with the given type of education. This goal is specified in the thesis. Two directions of data collection were chosen in the empirical part of the thesis to achieve the chosen goal. The first research direction, as a pre-research questionnaire, was focused on VU3V participants and their satisfaction, motivation and barriers. In this context, the U3V and VU3V organizers and tutors were interviewed. By interconnecting of these two parts of the research were answered partial questions.
