Práce se zabývá analýzou procesu identifikace v rámci interkulturní komunikace účastníků mezinárodních dobrovolnických projektů (workcampů). Pozornost je v ní věnována zejména interpretaci organizačního rámce campů, jednání jejich aktérů a mocenským asymetriím, vznikajícím v rámci formování dobrovolnické skupiny. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na kritické zhodnocení dosavadních teorií a epistemologie problematiky interkulturní komunikace a etnicity a logicky propojena s následnou empirickou částí. Data pro analýzu byla získána pomocí metod zúčastněného pozorování a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Samotný proces interakce ve skupině je pak analyzován na základě využití teoretického konceptu interkulturního kapitálu a teorie řízení identit v rámci designu zakotvené teorie.Thesis is based on the analysis of the identification process within the intercultural communication of the participants of international volunteer projects (workcamps). Attention is paid in particular to the interpretation of the organizational framework of the camps, the behavior of their actors and the power asymmetries arising from the formation of a volunteer group. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the critical evaluation of the existing theories and epistemology of the issue of intercultural communication and ethnicity and logically connected with the following empirical part. The data for the analysis was obtained by using participant observation and semi-structured interviews methods. The process of interaction in the group itself is then analyzed on the basis of the theoretical concept of intercultural capital and identity management theory within the design of grounded theory.
