Cílem této práce je zmapovat reprezentaci hříchu opilství v moralizujících spisech raného novověku. V práci představujeme nauku o sedmi smrtelných hříších a pokoušíme se stanovit, jaké postavení má v jejím rámci hřích opilství. Také nastiňujeme, jaké místo měl alkohol v Čechách v 16. a 17. století u všech vrstev společnosti. V práci se zabýváme literární analýzou vybraných moralit a upozorňujeme na jejich zvláštnosti. Dále se zabýváme všemi aspekty opilství, o nichž mravokárné spisy pojednávají. V závěru spisu na základě dílčích poznatků z jednotlivých kapitol představujeme celkový obraz reprezentace opilství v moralitách raného novověku.In our thesis, we exemine the representation of drunkenness in the moralizing treatises of early modern period. We introduce the doctrine of the seven deadly sins, and we try to determine which status has sin of drunkenness. We also outline the position of alcohol in Bohemia in all social class in the 16th and 17th centuries. We conducted a literary analysis of selected moralising treatises and referred about their peculiarities. We present overall picture of the representation of drunkenness and we engage of all aspects of the drunkenness. In the conclusion of the thesis we present a representation of drunkenness in the morality of the early modern period based on partial knowledge from individual chapters.
