Tato práce se v širším kontextu pokouší představit moravského Žida Shloma Shlomiele Dressnitze a rané období jeho života přesun z Moravy do Safedu. K lepšímu porozumění toho, co zásadně změnilo směr jeho života, stručně popisuji kabalu židovskou mystiku, její historii a základní koncepty. Zároveň krátce shrnuji historii moravských Židů. Druhá polovina práce se zaměřuje na Shlomiele samotného, jeho dopisy zaslané ze Safedu zpět do Evropy, a jejich překlady.The attempt of this work is to introduce the Moravian Jew Shlomo Shlomiel Dressnitz and the early period of his life, relocating from Moravia to Safed, in broader context. In order to understand what pointed his life to a different direction, I briefly describe Kabbalah, the Jewish mysticism, its history, and the basic concepts. Together I shortly summarize of the early history of Moravian Jews. The second half of the work is dedicated to Shlomiel Dressnitz, the letters from Safed back to Europe, and their translation
