Tato práce se zabývá zkušenostmi rodičů s výchovou dětí, které dělí velký věkový rozdíl. Cílem práce bylo zjistit rozdíly mezi výchovou staršího a mladšího dítěte, změny v rodině po narození mladšího dítěte, motivaci rodičů k pořízení mladšího dítěte a rozdíl ve vztahu rodiče se starším a mladším dítětem. Ke zkoumání byl zvolen kvalitativní přístup. Data byla sebrána pomocí polostrukturovaného interview. Ve výzkumu bylo mimo jiné zjištěno, že při výchově mladšího dítěte je rodina obvykle lépe finančně zajištěna, rodiče mají méně fyzických sil, jsou více benevolentní, méně důslední a více se o dítě bojí. Narození mladšího dítěte ovlivní zejména rodinné vztahy, většinou se změní k lepšímu. Motivem k pořízení nejmladšího dítěte bylo často přání partnera obvykle v kombinaci s vlastním přáním. Někteří probandi odkládali narození mladšího dítěte z finančních důvodů. Vztah se starším dítětem vnímají probandi často jako kamarádský. Ve vztahu s mladším dítětem hraje roli nutnost vychovávat.: This thesis occupies itself with experience of the parents with raising up children with significant age difference. The aim of the work is to find out: the difference between raising up the older child and the younger one, changes in family after the birth of the younger child, the motivation of the parents to conceive the younger child and the difference in the relationship between the parent and the older child versus the relationship between the parent and the younger child. The qualitative approach was chosen for this study. Data were collected in semi-structured interviews. This research found out that when raising up the younger child the family is usually financially better situated, parents have less energy, they are more benevolent and they are more worried about their child. The birth of younger child influences family relations usually there is an improvement. Motivation to conceive the younger child often was a wish of partner usually shared by both partners. Some respondents deferred conceiving the younger child because of the financial issues. Respondents often consider the relationship with the older child as friendly. On the other hand, in the relationship with the younger one, the role of educator is more important.
