Tématem této práce je popis činnosti umělecké skupiny Pussy Riot v kontextu současného ruského umění. V první části práce je popsána kulturní situace v Rusku na konci 20. století a na počátku 21. století. Druhá kapitola se věnuje politickému umění a jeho aspektům. Ve třetí kapitole popisuji vybrané ruské performery a v následující kapitole se věnuji českým umělcům. Pátá kapitola je zasvěcena skupině Pussy Riot a obsahuje jak popis činnosti skupiny, tak také detailní rozbor soudního procesu se třemi zadrženými členkami skupiny po punkové modlitbě uskutečněné v Chrámu Krista Spasitele.The main theme of this diploma thesis is description of activities of an artistic group called Pussy Riot in the context of contemporary Russian art. The first part describes cultural situation in Russia at the end of the 20th century and the very start of the 21st century. The second chapter attends to political art and its aspects. In the third chapter I desribe chosen Russian performers and the following one attends to Czech artists. The fifth chapter is devoted to the Pussy Riot group and contains not only this group's activity, but also detailed analysis of a trial with three arrested members of the group after their punk prayer made in the temple of Christ the Savior.
