V této bakalářské práci se zaměřuji na role tlumočníka v obchodním jednání. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. Teoretická část definuje tlumočení a základní role tlumočníka v obchodním jednání. Tlumočník v obchodním jednání je představen v rolích mediátora komunikace, kulturního a jazykového experta. Dále je popisován jako sociálně zdatný jedinec s dobrou znalostí verbální a neverbální komunikace, který dodržuje etický kodex a právní rámec svého povolání. Praktická část analyzuje případovou studii z tlumočení v obchodním jednání, která zkoumá interakce mezi účastníky obchodního jednání a vliv, který má tlumočníkovo chování na průběh jednání. Dále praktická část obsahuje dotazník, který zkoumá názory tlumočníků na jejich postavení v obchodním jednání. Práce tlumočníka hraje v obchodním jednání klíčovou roli.This thesis is focusing on different roles of an interpreter in a business meeting. It consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, the models of interpreting and interpreter´s roles are explained. The roles of an interpreter described are roles such as a negotiator, language and culture expert, and communication expert. The theoretical part also elaborates on social and legal issues of the process of interpreting. As for the practical part of my thesis, it provides a case study a real interpreted business meeting. In the last part of the thesis, a questionnaire is introduced. The study investigates behaviour of interpreters and their opinions about their position in business negotiation. The study demonstrates that interpreters do have an influence on the behaviour of other participants and the overall direction of a negotiation.
