Hlavním důvodem práce je prozkoumat a navrhnout praktické možnosti liturgické služby. Při úvodním pohledu do historie vzniku této služby nebylo účelem dopodrobna sledovat vývoj lektorátu, ale přiblížit současným služebníkům jejich poslání v návaznosti na rozvoj této služby a rovněž přiblížit liturgickou reformu na základě závěrů Druhého vatikánského koncilu. Dále nabízím praktické otázky, které lektor musí znát a ovládat: svůj hlas, výslovnost, techniku projevu. Čtvrtá kapitola seznamuje lektory s prostorem, kde lze tuto službu vykonávat a proč. Následně si pátá kapitola klade na lektora nároky: osobní, znalostní a duchovní, má dát návod, jak na sobě pracovat. V poslední kapitole nastíním možnosti jak s lektory pracovat a službu rozvíjet. Součástí bakalářské práce jsou tři přílohy. The main reason for this work is to explore and propose practical possibilities of liturgical services. The purpose of the initial view into the past when this ministry emerged was not to track the development of the lectorate in detail, but to expound to current ministers their mission following the development of this ministry, as well as explain a liturgical reform based on the conclusions of the Second Vatican council. Besides that I offer practical questions which must be known and handled by a lector: his voice, pronunciation and techniques of expression. The third chapter acquaints lectors with the place where this ministry can be performed, and explains why. Subsequently, the fourth chapter poses challenges to a lector: personal, knowledge-based and spiritual; it should provide him with the instructions on how to work on himself. In the last chapter I consider ways how to work with lectors and how to develop the ministry. The bachelor's thesis incorporates three appendixes. The first is the whole Rite for Institution of Lectors, the second contains pronunciation of words and their voices tongue twisters, and finally, the third chapter covers possibilities of language and muscle exercises, or in other words, gymnastic of articulatory organs.
