Lesní porosty byly kategorizovány, dle způsobu hospodaření, na faktory prostředí přirozený les, intenzivně využívaný les, extenzivně využívaný les, hrubá mozaika, jemná mozaika, mladý les, ekotony a paseky. Trichoptera are a very important group of semi-aquatic insects. Preimaginal stages occupy several trophic levels and contribute to the decomposition of organic matter in water. Last but not least they are an important food source for other aquatic and terrestrial animals. Colonization of suitable habitats, however, depends on adults and their ability of active flight. Recent studies suggest that the dispersal of adults is influenced not only by the distance from the water habitats, but also by the density and permeability of vegetation. The presented work studies the influence of distance from different types of water habitats and of forest type on the abundances of Trichoptera imagoes in the forested localities of Salajka and Chejlava. Factories Water habitats in the study area can be classified into three types - rivers, streams and stagnant water. Multidimensional analyses have found that the imagoes are influenced by distance, and their abundance is increasing with decreasing distance from the water habitats. The abundance of most adults with a link to the lotic habitats decreased with increasing distance from the river; on the contrary, abundance of Hydropsyche males grew. In contrast, abundance of imagoes with a link to lentic habitats increased with increasing distance from the stagnant water. Forest stands in the study area were categorized according to the way of forest management as environment factors natural forest, intensively used forest, extensively used forest, coarse mosaic, fine mosaic, young forest, ecotones and clearings. As a factor of average openness of the stand, the average openness of the crown canopy was used. The abundance of dominant species decreased with the openness of the stand, meaning that the imagoes prefer connected, dense vegetation. Only in other two more numerous species (Halesus radiatus and Rhadicoleptus alpestris) was the dependence inverse. Furthermore, the presence of preimaginal Trichoptera stages with a link to the temporary habitats was confirmed on habitats associated with forestry activities, such as puddles and drainage gutters along forest paths.
