Práce porovnává případy vyhlášení nezávislosti Kosova a Abcházie a jejich mezinárodního uznání od roku 2008. Její hypotézou je tvrzení, že příklad Kosova není případem sui generis a pro podporu tohoto názoru je Kosovo komparováno s Abcházií. Práce je dělena do pěti kapitol - první je teoretická, popisuje pojmy jako suverenita a právo na sebeurčení. Druhá kapitola má být analýzou etnických, náboženských a jiných podmínek Kosova a Abkcházie. Následující tři kapitoly se věnují hisotrickému pozadí obou konfliktů. Hypotéza byla dle autorova názoru potvrzena.Graduation thesis compares cases of declaration of independence of Kosovo and Abkhazia and their international recognition in and after 2008. Its hypothesis is an opinion, that the case of Kosovo is not sui generis case. To support this opinion is Kosovo compared with the case of Abkhazia. Thesis is divided into five chapters - first one is theoretical, describes the terms like sovereignty or self-determination right. Second chapter tries to analyze both Kosovan and Abkhazian case according to the ethnic or religious conditions. Another chapters are speaking about the historical background of both these conflicts. The hypothesis was, according to the opinion of an author, confirmed.
